The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning, generously funded by the Vinik Family Foundation, is building, implementing, and evaluating a national prototype of early childhood professional development that will transform the practice of teachers and child outcomes.

This state and national proof point for early childhood education will demonstrate the life-changing impacts on child learning and development when the most effective professional learning supports, critical system and policy elements, and strategic partnerships are simultaneously leveraged in one community.

The initial cohort of the Hillsborough Early Learning Network launched in January 2019, with 150 early childhood practitioners in directors engaging in targeted online professional development, blended professional development opportunities, and career advancement pathways, including CDA and college degree tracks.
