Stipend Applications
Learners are encouraged to apply for their stipend as early as possible. Once available, the stipend application can be completed at any time throughout the course of the program. Please refer to the stipend application pages below to check the guidelines to see if you are eligible to receive a stipend and apply.
For most stipend applications, you will need to have relevant information on hand, including address, social security number, personal and Flamingo Learning emails, DCF number, Genius Learner ID, and some stipends require a recent pay stub.
A reminder for all Literacy Micro-Credential applicants that, at this time, stipends are only available for Literacy Micro-Credential programs officially ending after October 23, 2024. Literacy Micro-Credential applications for these programs will close for new submissions at midnight on June 1, 2025. Applications will be reviewed in the order they were received. Stipends are dependent upon budget availability.
Stipend Applications
Applications for the active and coming soon stipend programs are below.
Current Stipend deadlines:
- Literacy Micro-Credential stipend applications must be submitted within 30 days of course completion and no later than June 1, 2025, whichever comes first. Learners are encouraged to apply for their stipend as early as possible.
- Literacy Matrix stipends applications must be submitted within 30 days of course completion and no later than June 1, 2025, whichever comes first. Learners are encouraged to apply for their stipend as early as possible.
- Flamingo Early Learning stipend applications closed at midnight November 30, 2024 for Fall 2024 stipends. Applications will open again in 2025 for Winter and Spring FEL Terms.
Emergent Literacy Micro-Credential
$1,000 completion stipend for eligible early child care personnel and eligible early learning staff.

Stipends Programs
Through partnerships with the Florida Department of Education and the Division of Early Learning, the UF Lastinger Center for Learning is able to offer on-demand and in-person professional learning opportunities for educators from birth through twelfth grade at no cost to the participants, as well as provide completion stipends to recognize mastery of content that supports elevating their practice and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning.
The stipends programs have already helped thousands of educators, and our list of available stipend programs continues to grow. We currently offer several stipend programs that target education across age ranges and subjects.
