Flamingo Early Learning

The UF Lastinger Center for Learning is the administrator of the state of Florida’s Early Childhood Training System: Flamingo Early Learning. Created in partnership with the Florida Department of Education’s Division of Early Learning, Flamingo Early Learning courses provide practical teaching strategies, are standards-aligned and mastery-based, and are filled with interactive course elements, collaborative discussion forums and continuous feedback from a credentialed course instructor.

Who is eligible?

Flamingo Early Learning courses are free and offered to all School Readiness & VPK providers in Florida including:

  • Educators
  • Family Child Care Providers
  • Directors
  • Owners
  • Program leaders

Impact

Since 2015, Flamingo Early Learning has delivered nearly 600,000 hours of content to over 33,000 early childhood professionals.
