Flamingo Learning
Flamingo Learning is the UF Lastinger Center for Learning’s online professional learning system. Through Flamingo Learning, the Lastinger Center offers a suite of professional learning products from courses, coaching, communities of practice, and instructional leadership development for early learning, K-12 and literacy professionals. The platform is configured with expertly-designed and facilitated experiences that offer badges and credentials.
Flamingo Learning is hosted on Brightspace, a Learning Management System (LMS) from Desire2Learn (D2L), with credentials, learning records, and competency-based learning pathways managed by the Genius student information system, and advanced capabilities including learning analytics and AI driven by the Data Lagoon. The Flamingo Learning platform allows the Lastinger Center to meet the unique needs of its learners with innovative, engaging tools and custom solutions. The Lastinger Center selected D2L as the Flamingo Learning platform partner because of the company’s deep expertise and commitment to learning, the platform capabilities in active learning and competency-based learning, and the opportunity to collaborate strategically on innovations including AI.
