Priscilla Brown, M.Ed.
Literacy Support Specialist
Priscilla serves as a Literacy Support Specialist at the Lastinger Center for Learning. In this role she will develop and manage the assessors for the Elementary and Secondary Microcredential and will also provide support to the learners.
Priscilla began her career as an intensive reading middle school teacher in Alachua County and spent several years as a reading remediation tutor with elementary students and college athletes. Later on, she transitioned to become a program director for a local non-profit where she developed and trained teams to serve their students.
Priscilla has a Bachelor’s in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Special Education with concentration in Reading from the University of Florida. In her free time, she loves to bake, catch up on her favorite show, and go for long walks in her neighborhood.
