Amy Shockley, M.Ed.
Specialist, Advanced Literacy Support
Amy Shockley serves as an Advanced Literacy Support Specialist at the Lastinger Center for Learning. In this role, Amy creates literacy content collaborating on the continued development of Literacy Micro credentials courses.
Amy began her career as an elementary school ESE teacher in Martin County in 1996. She taught over the years in grades 3rd-5th and Gifted before moving into coaching roles in Alachua County Public Schools. She then worked as a professional development specialist and later supervisor in the Professional Learning Department. She supported families as an Educational Consultant at the Multidisciplinary Diagnostic and Training Program most recently before joining the Lastinger team.
Amy earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education from the University of Florida. In her free time, she enjoys a day at the beach and cherishes the many adventures of life, both big and small, with her husband and two children.
