Lourdes Salgado, MS
Specialist, Family & Community Engagement, New Worlds Reading Initiative
Lourdes Salgado serves as an Engagement Specialist at the Lastinger Center for Learning. In this role, Lourdes will hold events, presentations, and conferences to raise awareness about and promote the New Worlds Reading Initiative program, with the goal of increasing enrollment of students and their families.
Lourdes began her career as a Special Education teacher in the Miami Dade County Public School district. Previously, Lourdes served as a Federal auditor in the United States Postal Service and Central Intelligence Agency.
Lourdes has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from New Jersey State University, and master’s degree in Psychology Mental Health from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
