Rachel Chastain-Gross serves as an early learning implementation support specialist at the Lastinger Center for Learning. In this role, Rachel facilitates face-to-face, virtual, and online professional development learning experiences for early learning, literacy, and coaching.

Rachel began her career as an elementary teacher in Marion County Public Schools where she embraced mentoring interns and leading school and county-wide professional development. She then taught kindergarten and first grade at P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School at the University of Florida. She transitioned to the College of Education at the University of Florida where she worked for 5 years on a federally funded grant implementing coaching in early elementary school classrooms.

Rachel has her bachelor’s and masters degree in elementary education from the University of Florida. In her free time, she likes to travel, read, and spend time with her husband and three daughters.
