Rosie John-Baptiste serves as a Literacy Content Specialist at the Lastinger Center for Learning. In this role, Rosie authors literacy content for the New Worlds Reading Initiative and facilitates online and in-person credentialed professional development experiences.

Originally from London, she entered teaching as a Teach for America corps member and developed a passion for actively addressing educational inequity by serving her scholars, their families, and communities in historically and continually underserved neighborhoods in Florida.

Rosie holds a BA in graphic design and media management from the University of West London and is pursuing a master’s degree in educational technology.  Now, as a fully-fledged, sun-seeking, bug-loathing Floridian transplant, Rosie enjoys living close to West Central Florida’s fabulous sugar sand beaches. During her free time, she can be found strolling at the water’s edge, nodding along to music, and listening to audiobooks.
