Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms Course

The UF Lastinger Center for Learning Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms course provides preschool teachers with strategies designed to improve classroom instruction in preschool settings.

What is it?

The Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms course is an online, asynchronous course made up of five cycles:

  • Foundations of Supporting Learning
  • Supporting Children as They Develop Concepts
  • Incorporating Effective Feedback
  • Nurturing and Supporting Language Development
  • Mastery

The Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms Course offers several benefits to both you and your students:

 Earn a $150 stipend

  • Improve instructional practices
  • Earn 1.0 CEU (10 instructional hours)
  • Work at your own pace 
  • Enhance teacher/child interactions 
  • Help students develop concepts and real world connections 
  • Support kindergarten readiness

When does it start?

  • Enrollment: February 24 – March 31
  • The course term: March 17 – May 6

The Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms course is free and offered to School Readiness & VPK providers in Florida. The target audience for this course includes the following working to support preschool classrooms:
